Video by Mariko Mori

Mori poses in Osaka’s Kansai International Airport as a futuristic, kaleidoscope-eyed vision who gently and meaningfully caresses a crystal ball to a haunting Japanese song. Mori channels an ethereal, techno/traditional shaman- a human figure who serves as a medium between earth- and the spiritual unknown. She is both a cyborg and a bodhisattva figure as is often depicted in the iconography of Buddhist Mandala imagery.

The exhibition opens March 13, 2010, from 7-10pm and runs through May 28, 2010. World Class Boxing (www.worldclassboxing.org) is open Monday through Friday 10am-5pm.
