The Hot Wheels Legends Tour presented by Mobil , now in its 7th year, is on the hunt for the next Garage of inductee. Car builders worldwide will compete for chance to have their unique vehicles immortalized as 1:64-scale die-casts and join the prestigious Garage of Legends lineup. The tour kicks off in Miami on May 11 and will traverse 13 countries, celebrating custom car builders’ passion for creating legendary vehicles.
Senior Vice President Ted Wu expressed excitement about expanding the tour to new locations like Columbia and the UAE, aiming to spotlight diverse car communities. The criteria for judging vehicles include authenticity, creativity, and garage spirit, with a focus on extreme, innovative designs that stand out. Emphasis is placed on the builder’s dedication and perseverance throughout the project.
In a new development, a U.S. virtual contest in partnership with Walmart allows enthusiasts to submit their projects, with one standout vehicle advancing to the Global Semi-Final in November. Regional events at Walmart stores across the U.S. will feature interactive experiences, showcasing life-size Hot Wheels cars, play areas for kids, and exclusive Hot Wheels Legends products.
