The Short List
If you only do six things this week.
- 01
Closing night is Thursday. John Turturro gets the Variety Creative Vanguard on Monday. Kyle MacLachlan on Tuesday. The full GEMS run ends Nov 5 — not Nov 7. Check the schedule and go before it closes.
- 02
Free. 150+ national juried artists across painting, sculpture, photography, and ceramics. No ticket, no reservation. Show up, walk slowly, bring cash for the work that stops you.
- 03
40 seats. One long table. A multi-course Syrian feast at $125 per person. The first installment sold out before most people knew it existed. The window is open now.
- 04
Xfinity Series Championship on Saturday, Cup Series finale on Sunday. One of the loudest weekends in South Florida motorsport. Gates open early both days.
- 05
The rooms worth going to fill up in the first two weeks of November. Rao's Miami Beach, Torno Subito, Vida at Fontainebleau, Hakkasan — all on Resy or OpenTable now. Do not wait.
- 06
Two nights the week after Christmas. If you have family in town for the holidays and need a plan for the long weekend, this is a clean answer.

Halloween Week 2026 — Miami
Halloween week in Miami runs all the way through Friday and the city does it well. R House Wynwood has the Villains Party, Hoy Como Ayer is doing a full costume night, Lincoln Road throws its annual block party, and Kiki on the River has a pumpkin carving situation that turns into something else entirely. Pick your room and commit to the costume.
High
Miami Beach Polo World Cup
Eight international teams and 120+ horses on the sand near The Setai for three days of polo. VIP tent, après-polo gatherings, and evening events with separate ticketing. One of the most underreported events on Miami's calendar — the setting alone is worth it.

E1 Miami GP — Electric Raceboat Racing
E1 closes its season in Miami with two days of electric raceboat racing on Biscayne Bay. Tom Brady, Nadal, and LeBron-backed teams competing in RaceBird boats. Ocean Club hospitality includes food, open bar, and behind-the-scenes access. One of the more visually spectacular events Miami hosts all year.

The Quiet Room Problem: Where to Actually Have a Conversation at Dinner in Miami
Miami has a noise problem. Not a shortage of restaurants — a shortage of rooms where you can actually hear the person across the table. Gekkō, Komodo, Marion, Sexy Fish, Amazonico, Rosa Sky — these are rooms where the music is the point. MAMO, Claudie, Felice, Seia, Macchialina, Mandolin, Palma, Tâm Tâm, Babette, Fooq's — these are the rooms where the food is the point. Here is how to tell the difference before you book.
