DOXA has announced Mélodie Treviño as its newest Friend of the Brand. A former member of Mexico's national competitive diving team, accomplished underwater explorer, and founder of the Saving Our Sharks Foundation, Treviño embodies an approach to adventure that goes beyond pushing boundaries to embrace scientific discovery and the protection of marine life — values that have defined DOXA since the first SUB launched in Switzerland in 1967.
Treviño's exploration résumé is exceptional. She was involved in research on Taam Ja', the remarkable blue hole in Mexico's Chetumal Bay believed to be the deepest yet identified, and participated in the Xunaan Ha expedition to explore subterranean aquatic systems in the Yucatán. She holds an MBA, has studied at the Yale School of Management and the University of Twente, and serves as a DAN Global Ambassador promoting diver safety and responsible underwater exploration.
Through the Saving Our Sharks Foundation, Treviño works to protect sharks and rays in the Mexican Caribbean by combining conservation, awareness-raising, local community engagement, and sustainable economic development. Her work represents a conviction that exploration is meaningful only when paired with a sense of responsibility — a philosophy DOXA describes as central to its own identity.
DOXA's SUB watches have accompanied generations of divers and ocean enthusiasts since 1967, designed as genuine diving instruments that are equally at home underwater or on dry land. The partnership with Treviño opens a new chapter in that story — one defined by scientific inquiry, environmental commitment, and a recognition that the ocean's most important resource is time itself.
