THE “TASTE OF MIAMI” FOOD AND WINE SHOWCASE FOR LOCALS, TAKES PLACE FEBRUARY 18, 2016

unnamed-93Taste of Miami, taking place on February 18, 2016 from 6:00PM- 10:00PM at Marlins Park located at 501 Marlins Way Miami, FL 33125 will be a culmination of some of the very best culinary experiences in Miami combined with delicious wines, beers and spirits. Taking place, the week before the South Beach Wine & Food Festival, Taste of Miami (now back for a second year) is sending a message that it’s the event for Miami locals.

Taste of Miami is the answer to those looking for an enjoyable food and wine tasting event, but at an affordable cost. The team behind the event were seeking to satisfy local palates, but also satisfy those who love the outdoor event scene. This year’s participants include: Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant and Wine Bar, Naked Taco, Clevelander, Miami Smokers, Finka Table and Tap, Mama Choa, Don Camaron, Sabores by Chef James, Proper Sausages, Wynwood Brewing Company, MIA Brewing Company, Coquito, Spanish Marie Brewing Co., Concrete Beach, Bamboo Café, Tuyo, Passion del Cielo, El Mago de Las Fritas, Aaron’s Catering, Fantastic Pastelitos, Donut Divas, Segafredo Brickell, Havana 1957, Don Bernardino Wines, Alamos Wines, Martin Codax Wines, Fashion Wines, Los Cidrines, and several others!

Imagine a showcase of local culinary talent, premium wines and spirits, in an open-air setting. Comprised of some of the most popular local restaurants in South Florida, unique chef concept eateries and local breweries, Taste of Miami is a true taste of Miami. Taste of Miami will satisfy the local food enthusiast as well as the sophisticated “foodie” expecting to delight in some of the best dishes and libations our city has to offer. Not to worry, keeping true to our City known for beauty and some pizazz, the event will touch on all of the flashy points too. The showcase will attract those looking for a different type of [food] event, a casual one minus thousands of event-goers standing in long lines waiting to try a bite. Get ready and come hungry!

Hosted by Chef Adrianne Calvo and Marlin pitcher (and 2013 rookie of the year) Jose Fernandez, the event will feature a “cook-off” and pair an array of our most frequented and popular eateries with local music. Guests this year will enjoy a delightful mix of palate-pleasing food, sweets, craft beers, wines and delicious Bacardi cocktails, while dancing to live music and a DJ.

Taste of Miami will benefit the Marlins Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization based in South Florida, the Hispanic Food & Beverage Foundation, as well as the Miami Culinary Institute’s Joanna Rodriguez Memorial Scholarship Fund. This second annual event is a very personal invitation for locals to come out, ready to eat and ready to dance, as Taste of Miami will hit year two- bigger and better!
