Join TREEmendous Miami for a fun and productive morning as we create a native hammock habitat at the east end of Coral Pine Park in Pinecrest on Sat, May 4, starting at 8:30 am.

We will be planting a mix of trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants to create a habitat that benefits native fauna as well as creating an environment that beautifies this section of the Park.

Volunteers should park in the Park’s parking lot (entered from SW 104 Street) and walk past the tennis courts to the planting site on SW 69 Ave at SW 104 St. Bring a shovel if you have one. Also loppers and hand clippers if you have them, since we hope to also remove some of the vines that are invading the beautiful pineland behind our planting site.

Wear shoes that protect your feet (preferably with hard soles) and appropriate clothing for sun protection. You may want to bring gloves, but we will also have a limited supply to borrow.

Refreshments will be provided on site; service hours will be provided for those in need of same.

Spread the love!
