IMAGINE Burger Beast Thanksgiving Dinner Food Truck Challenge on Monday, November 14

Who’s “Top Turkey” in 2013? Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino invites you to taste your way to the Food Truck winner at the IMAGINE Burger Beast Thanksgiving Dinner Food Truck Challenge on Monday, November 14 from 5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. in the Seminole Paradise Valet Lot (adjacent to Hooters). For all alcoholic beverages sold at the house bars located around the Seminole Paradise Valet Lot, $1 will be donated to The Pantry of Broward. Canned and non-perishable foods will also be collected at the entrance of the event for donation to The Pantry of Broward.

Twenty-two food trucks will be on-site competing for the tasty title honors in savory and sweet categories. Every food truck will have their regular menu along with their Thanksgiving-inspired creations. Giovanny Gutierrez of ChatChow TV; Cari Garcia of Fat Girl Hedonist; Steven Scharf of The Chowfather; Christine Najac of South Florida Food & Wine; and Justin Wyborn, vice president of Food & Beverage at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek and Seminole Classic Casino, will be judging the dishes and guests are encouraged to arrive early to find their personal favorite.

This year’s savory contenders include:

2 Jive Turkeys: Carved Cajun deep-fried turkey breast served with a red wine/cranberry reduction sauce and two sides, homemade mac & cheese and mashed potatoes
The Big Ragu: Homemade turkey sausage wrapped in stuffing, deep fried and served on mashed potatoes with turkey gravy
Box of Chacos: Cornbread dressing papusa with roasted turkey leg confit, cranberry jam and brown butter gravy
Daddy’s Grill: El Plato Seria – grilled turkey breast Cuban sandwich with Cuban bread, juicy turkey breast, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, yellow mustard and their secret sauce
Holy Smoked: A brown sugar and butter-glazed pumpkin stuffed with hardwood-smoked turkey cornbread and cranberry pecan stuffing, served with cranberry glaze sauce for dipping and a side of homemade mashed potatoes and gravy
Il Fiorentino: Roasted turkey, fig marmalade, Brussel sprouts and duchesse potatoes
Jefe’s Original Fish Taco & Burgers: Chimichanga El Pavo Turkey – oven roasted turkey shredded with giblet rice, cuitlacoche (corn mushroom or Mexican truffle), and havarti cheese stuffed in a flour tortilla fried crispy and smothered with a creamy mushroom gravy
Mobile Culinary Kitchen: Turkey and quinoa meatloaf with scallion white and sweet potatoes
Monte’s Country Cajun Cookin’: Mamaw’s Traditional Thanksgiving Meal – roasted bacon-wrapped turkey breast stuffed with alligator and Andouille sausage dressing atop a bed of crawfish and shrimp etouffée set over steamed dirty rice served with corn maque choux and brown sugar crumble pecan sweet potatoes casserole
Ms. Cheezious: House-made applewood-smoked turkey, gruyere cheese and roasted pumpkin mustard melt on fresh-baked rosemary bread
Palate Party: Grilled Thanks – cranberry mayo, sharp cheddar cheese, stuffing, mashed potatoes, deep-fried turkey on two slices of corn bread with a side of giblet gravy dipping sauce
Passion BBQ: Slow-smoked turkey with cornbread stuffing and truffled mac & cheese
Pescados Unidos: Choice of Pavo Frita – turkey burger topped with shoestring sweet potato fries and cranberry aioli on a stuffing bun or Thanksgiving Poutine which includes yams, yuca, and morada papas, gravy moreno y queso fresco
Purple People Eatery: Winner Winner Turkey Dinner – remix of an all-American Thanksgiving dinner
The Rolling Stove: Sweet potato chip-crusted turkey cutlet between two slices of grilled sage stuffing with havarti cheese, topped with bacon cranberry chutney and caramelized onions, served with Madeira wine gravy for dipping
Slow Food Truck: Fried sous vide turkey wings topped with a cranberry glaze over a cornbread stuffing pancake. buffalo-style turkey wings will also be available
Taco Fresh: Turkey Tamales – Authentic, homemade Mexican corn tamales stuffed with juicy Thanksgiving turkey in original corn husks. Served with a tangy cranberry salsa and green tomatillo salsa and a side of elote

This year’s sweet category contenders include:

Big Kahuna: Pumpkin pie shake with a candied pecan garnish and pumpkin whip cream
Fireman Derek: Pumpkin flan
HipPOPs Handcrafted Gelato Bars: Thanksgiving Day Caramelized Apple Pie – vanilla custard gelato swirled with an assortment of caramelized apples and dulce de leche, half dipped in a signature semi-sweet chocolate and crowned with handmade streusel
Marlie’s Delights: Dark chocolate pumpkin bread pudding with salted caramel sauce
Munchcakes: Thanksgiving Macaron Quartet – Pecan pie, sweet potato casserole, pumpkin spice and caramel apple

This year’s IMAGINE Burger Beast Thanksgiving Dinner Food Truck Challenge is part of Hard Rock International’s 6th annual IMAGINE THERE’S NO HUNGER campaign. To support this essential campaign, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is challenging South Florida to step-up to globally and locally to benefit the community-in-need through a variety of philanthropic initiatives.
