ABOUT HATTON LABS

HATTON LABS is a contemporary gender fluid jewellery brand, founded in Hatton Gardens, London by friends and business partners Jack Cannon & Joe Gelb.

The designs draw inspiration from the rich heritage of British subculture and pop culture. HATTON LABS is a homage to London’s historic jewellery quarter, with a modern twist.

Each piece is handcrafted using the highest grade of gold and silver, incorporating semi-precious stones and pearls, in the heart of London’s prestigious jewellery district of Hatton Gardens.

Jack Cannon, having a background with the fashion powerhouse; NIKE, grew up accompanying his father whilst selling watches to the artisans of the iconic area, so Hatton Gardens has been close to his heart for many years.

Being self taught at an early age, Cannon soon began creating grills, chains and custom pieces for London’s fresh emerging talent such as actress Iris Law and musician Skepta.

Meanwhile, Joe Gelb attended The University of the Arts London and afterwards transitioned to a career in the music industry, working with credible musicians in LA, California. After six years, Joe focused his efforts on a fund that nurtured upcoming brands in the Fashion Industry. Notably, Gelb worked closely with the team at Casablanca Paris, founded by Charaf Tajer, to help kickstart the cult brand.

The duo reconnected after rediscovering their passion for contemporary jewellery and continued to build the brand. The duo’s core intention was to broaden an offering of expressive staple jewellery pieces, designed by Jack whilst Joe was at the helm of the business.

Initially pieces were designed for men after discovering a lack of offering across the market, however as they gained more interest from female customers, this then naturally developed to become a more gender fluid brand.

The brand is currently 75% sustainable, working with reused materials and considers themselves to be environmentally conscious. Pieces are produced and packaged as responsible as possible using recycled metals, biodegradable plastics and helping to lower carbon emissions. HATTON LABS is striving to be 100% sustainable, in an effort to drive positive change.
