Miami based artist Adler Guerrier will present an installation of new works concerned with the structure of narrative in relation notions of place and the everyday.  The works will include drawings that work in concert to reflect the complexities and poetics in drifting and exploring a place.

Guerrier’s restrained interplay between form, color and design in anchored by fearless site-specific subversions of place and time in regards to conceptions of race, class, history and culture. Often calling upon the districts of Miami, Guerrier examines the contemporary flaneur in an impending post demographic age. Adler Guerrier was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Subsequent to studies at the New World School of the Arts in Miami, Florida, Guerrier has exhibited at the Miami Art Museum, and in The Whitney Biennial 2008. His works can be found in public collections such as the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, and the Studio Museum in Harlem, NY.
 
Locust Projects will present a special edition artwork by New York-based artist Kate Gilmore and [NAME] Publications’ book-based projects.
