Max’s Harvest’s Summer Organic Wine/Appetizer Pairing is September 10

Max’s Harvest’s next edition of the Summer Organic Wine Series will be Monday, September 10th from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Appetizers will be paired with several different sustainably farmed, small production pinot noirs from Oregon and California. First, guests will taste the Robledo Family Winery’s Pinot Noir 2007, from Carneros, California.  This wine won a Double Gold Medal at the American Fine Wine Competition in 2011 in Florida, and will be paired with Akaushi Steak Tartare, with gaufrette and fried quail egg.

Next, guests will savor Mushroom & Humboldt Fog Crostini, with vin cotto and arugula while tasting Pinot Noir 2008, Lachini Estate Vineyards, Willamette Valley, Oregon, which received 92 points from Robert Parker.

Finally, guests will enjoy blue cheese stuffed dates with orange supreme and bacon marmalade, along with Papapietro Perry Winery, Russian River Valley, CA which received 94 points.

The cost to attend the wine tasting and appetizer pairing is $25.  RSVP’s are encouraged as the event is limited to 24 people.  Guests receive 15% percent off their dinner check, if they stay for dinner that evening.
