JOY WALLACE TO BE RECOGNIZED AS TOP FEMALE ROLE MODEL IN THE MIAMI CATERING INDUSTRY DURING “CHEF’S COOK IT UP FOR KIDS” EVENT AT THE FALLS

Joy Wallace, an icon of the South Florida catering industry, will be recognized during “Chef’s Cook it Up for Kids” at The Falls on Sun., March 14 at 7 p.m. benefiting The United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education.  Wallace will be the sole recipient of The 2010 Chefs Cook it Up for Kids Excellence Award for her commitment to the Miami community, serving as dedicated businesswoman and caterer.  

Her recognition is part of “Chef’s Cook it Up for Kids,” a free culinary celebration offering attendees the opportunity to enjoy an evening of delicious food from more than 30 of South Florida’s premier restaurants and caterers, as well as three stages of live entertainment.   

Joy Wallace is recognized as an active participant in the Miami catering market with a passion for coordinating special events for many years.  More than 21 years ago, she founded “A Joy Wallace Catering Production,” and she continues to fulfill her vision to create one of the best full service catering companies in South Florida, making her clients’ every dream, need and goal a reality.  

The success of “A Joy Wallace Catering Production” has led to local and national recognition of Wallace as both a businesswoman and a caterer. She has been named Caterer of the Year by Event Solutions Magazine and Catering Magazine and has been honored as Business of the Year by the South Florida Business Journal.  The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce awarded her company Outstanding Minority Business of the Year and the Jeanne Bellamy Award for Advancement and Promotion of Women in the Workplace
