To celebrate St. Kitts’ developing partnership with iconic lifestyle brand Tommy Bahama, the Hon. Lindsay F.P. Grant, Minister of Tourism, International Trade, Industry and Commerce, paid a visit to the brand’s flagship retail and restaurant location in the prime shopping area on Fifth Avenue in New York City on Wednesday, June 1.

“I am extremely pleased with the relationship between St. Kitts and Tommy Bahama following the creation of men’s and women’s fragrances inspired by our island,” said Minister Grant. “The warm welcome we received at their flagship store compounded by the prominent placement of the fragrances and the Tommy Bahama ‘Escape to St. Kitts’ sweepstakes signage further demonstrates that the alignment between our brands and audiences is truly a natural and mutually beneficial match.”

Upon arrival at the store, Minister Grant and the rest of the St. Kitts delegation were greeted enthusiastically by the store manager and staff. Everyone was delighted to see the Tommy Bahama St. Kitts men’s and women’s fragrances prominently placed at the check-out counter in plain view of anyone making a purchase, thereby maximizing visibility and name recognition for St. Kitts. The store manager provided a tour of the store, highlighting the Tommy Bahama “Escape to St. Kitts” sweepstakes signage and introducing Minister Grant to a store supervisor whose mother was born in St. Kitts.

After perusing the store, the delegation was escorted upstairs to the Tommy Bahama restaurant. After further welcome by the general manager of the restaurant, they were treated to a delectable dinner.
Having run April 26 through May 31, 2016, the Tommy Bahama “Escape to St. Kitts” sweepstakes featured a trip for two to St. Kitts including roundtrip airfare and hotel accommodations for 5 days/4 nights at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino as part of the Grand Prize.
