GET CHILDREN GEARED UP FOR SCHOOL BY PARTICIPATING IN MIAMI CHILDREN’S MUSEUM’S “VIRTUAL BACK TO SCHOOL BASH”

It’s been awhile since in-person and virtual classes have been hosted.  But the new school year is fast approaching and it’s time to get ready.  Although Miami Children’s Museum’s doors are temporarily closed to the public, we still want to play a part in preparing children for their next educational adventure. During the month of August, we will be hosting a “Virtual Back to School Bash” as part of our Museum at Home program, sponsored by Florida Dairy Farmers.

We want to get children feeling excited and prepared with fun and engaging activities that you can access through our website and social media platforms.  Play fun summer games that focus on sight words and practice counting with a crafty homemade puzzle.  Brush up on your letters with a sensory science experiment and check out a special story time of Pete the Cat with our Theater Troupe.  Get your creative juices flowing with an art project to make your textbooks look fabulous and a crafty way to make a pencil case.

Stay tuned to our social media platforms throughout the month to catch some of the following activities: How to Make Pencil Toppers, Summer Sight Word Games, Popsicle Stick Number Puzzles, How to Make Pencil Pouches and Book Covers, a Fizzy Letter Science Experiment, a Pete The Cat “Rocking In My School Shoes” story time with our Theatre Troupe, and a Funny Faces Cooking Class.
