FIRST EVER COMPREHENSIVE BEATLES TRIBUTE CRUISE TO SAIL FROM FT. LAUDERDALE May Pang, BeatleBrunch’s Joe Johnson And Many More Beatles Insiders Up Close and Personal on the Cruise!

The first ever comprehensive Beatles Tribute Cruise is scheduled to set sail from Port Everglades in Ft Lauderdale, FL on Sunday, March 28, 2010 aboard Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas for 6 nights.

Joining this cruise will be whole collection of Beatles Insiders including: May Pang- John Lennon’s former girlfriend and the author of “Loving John” and “Instamatic Karma”; Nancy Lee Andrews- Ringo Starr’s former fiancé and the author of “A Dose of Rock and Roll”; Chris O’Dell- the author of “Miss O’Dell: My Hard Days and Long Nights with the Beatles, the Stones, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, and the Women They Loved”; Shannon- the World’s Greatest Beatles Artist (she just finished up the 110 original art pieces she was commissioned to create for Liverpool’s Hard Days Night Hotel); Paul Saltzman- the author of “The Beatles in Rishikesh”; Jorie Gracen- Paul McCartney’s photographer for 20 years and the author of “I Saw Him Standing There”;  and Joe Johnson- the host and creator for the nationally syndicated radio show “BeatleBrunch”.   Onboard musical performances will be provided by BritBeat- America’s Premier Tribute to the Beatles.

This is a rare opportunity for Beatles fans to spend time with these unique people who knew, loved and chronicled their heroes’ lives as few people have ever done. Special Beatles events will include three performances by BritBeat, including a Costume/Dance Party and a Beatles Guitar Workshop; Question and Answer session with May Pang, Chris O’Dell and Nancy Andrews called the “Rock N Roll Asylum”; and a Question and Answer session with Jorie Gracen called “Behind the Lens with Paul McCartney”. Beatles artist Shannon will be creating an original Beatles art piece LIVE on the ship and Paul Saltzman will present his “Beatles in India” slide presentation.  There will also be Beatles Trivia Contests and picture, autograph and vending sessions.

There is also a charity aspect to the Cruise as well.  A portion of the proceeds from each cabin sold, along with proceeds from special onboard raffles, will go to the Dara Roberts Fund, a cause supported by May Pang, Shannon and Nancy Andrews.  Dara Roberts is a young Beatles fan with Cerebral Palsy who attends Stanford University. It takes a tremendous amount of specialized equipment and funds for Dara to be able to attend Stanford on her own. The Beatles Tribute Cruise is doing its part to help out this special, brave and enthusiastic Beatles fan as much as possible.
