UM School of Law Holds Bankruptcy Clinic on June 9

unnamedThe University of Miami School of Law 27th Annual Bankruptcy Skills Workshop presents useful basics on consumer bankruptcy practice in the Southern District of Florida. This year’s program will focus on where the practice of consumer bankruptcy is going and more complex issues that arise in cases. There will be panels on emerging chapter 13 issues, individual chapter 11 practice for debtors over the debt limits, the intersection of ethics and technology, and the always popular View from the Bench section with our Southern District of Florida Judges.

WHO: There will be discussions and presentations by U.S. Bankruptcy Judges, Clerk of Court, U.S. Chapter 7 & 13 Trustees, Ethics Panel, Staff Counsel for the FL Bar, and seasoned debtor and creditor counsel.

WHEN: Friday, June 9, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: Storer Auditorium at the University of Miami School of Business Administration, 5250 University Drive, Coral Gables. Parking is available at the Pavia Garage, accessible through the main gate of UM at Ponce de Leon Blvd. and Stanford Drive.

FEES: Registration fees support the Louis Phillips Scholarship Fund at the UM School of Law. Course materials, lunch, and parking are included in the cost of registration. Early bird registration by May 6, 2015, is $290; registration fee after May 6, 2015, will be $320; discounts for UM alumni and government employees.
