J.C. Watts Gives Uplifting Talk at Broward College Speaker Series Event on Wednesday, March 23rd

The 2016 Broward College Speaker Series presented by Hoffman’s Chocolates and in partnership with Broward Center for the Performing Arts continued on Wednesday, March 23rd with J.C. Watts, CEO of Feed the Children and former Congressman and Chairman of the Republican Conference. The evening’s event was sponsored by Exults Internet Marketing.

The former University of Oklahoma quarterback and ordained minister provided insights on leadership, politics and the value of education. During the hour-long talk, Watts shared stories from his humble beginnings in rural Oklahoma including anecdotes where he was taught the value of strong leadership which motivated him to become a Congressman. Following his talk, Watts participated in a rapid-fire Q&A session moderated by David Maymon, member of the Broward College Board of Trustees, where Watts answered questions from the audience.

As part of his visit to Broward County, Watts also visited Broward College’s North Campus for a fireside chat earlier that day, where he spoke to a group of students about making the most out of the opportunities presented to them throughout life to achieve success through leadership.

J.C. Watts was the third of four distinguished speakers sharing their exciting experiences, perspectives and behind the scenes stories on current events topics. The final 2016 Broward College Speaker Series speaker will be James Carvillerenowned and provocative Political Strategist, CNN, NBC & FOX News Political Commentator, and host of “James Carville Looks at Politics and the 2016 Race for the White House.”The event will be held on Wednesday, April 6th.
