Hublot Introduces the Big Bang Original Soft Touch: A New Sensory Dimension for an Icon
For the first time, Hublot transforms its iconic Big Bang Original through an exclusive textured rubber compound applied across the case, bezel, dial, and strap — available in All Black and All Red — creating a watch designed not only to be seen, but to be felt.
Part of our ongoing curation of what it means to live, love, and play in the Magic City.
Some watches are made to be seen. Others are made to be experienced. With the new Big Bang Original Soft Touch, Hublot introduces an entirely new sensory dimension to its most iconic silhouette. For the first time, the Manufacture transforms the Big Bang Original through an exclusive textured rubber compound applied across the case, bezel, dial, and strap — creating a surface with a remarkably soft touch that is not a coating, not a surface treatment, but a new way of building a watch.
Available in All Black and All Red, the two new models reinterpret two of Hublot's most iconic color signatures through an entirely new tactile language. The exclusive rubber compound is developed through a dedicated overmoulding process using specially engineered tooling that integrates the texture directly into the material during production. Its unique microscopic surface structure — composed of thousands of fine micro-elements — creates an exceptional softness while preserving the durability and resistance expected from Hublot's signature rubber.
The Big Bang Original Soft Touch All Black continues the legacy of one of Hublot's most powerful design statements, first introduced in 2006. More than a color, All Black became a signature of the Art of Fusion — the encounter between aesthetics, materials, and innovation. Twenty years later, Hublot reinterprets this concept through a new sensory experience: for the first time, All Black is not only seen, but also felt. The deep black titanium case, black DLC-coated pushers, and soft touch rubber construction create a monochromatic composition unlike anything before it.
The Big Bang Original Soft Touch All Red pays tribute to another milestone: Hublot's creation of the world's first vividly colored high-tech ceramic in 2018. Today, that iconic red enters a new dimension — combining visual impact with unprecedented softness through titanium molded by this unique rubber compound. Color becomes sensation.
Both models are powered by Hublot's fully in-house Unico chronograph caliber — an engineering statement built around five patented innovations including a column wheel, dual-clutch architecture, layered construction, optimized gear train, and a skeletonized tungsten rotor open-worked in the shape of an H. The caliber delivers a 72-hour power reserve and is accurate to -2/+4 seconds per day. Housed in a 43mm case, the watch features beveled edges, curved lugs, a rubber-clad crown, rectangular pushers with Hublot's signature rubber inserts, and the One Click strap interchangeability system.
The collection is backed by Hublot's 5+5 warranty program — up to ten years of coverage through the Hublotista program — and comes presented in a case featuring a matching textured Hublot logo that echoes the distinctive tactile identity of the watch itself.
The Big Bang Original Soft Touch is available now at selected Hublot points of sale and online at hublot.com. Follow @Hublot for updates.
