Spooky Symphony Headlines the Moss Center's Annual Halloween Celebration — October 23, Free

On Friday, October 23, the Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center invites families to its annual Halloween celebration: Halloween 2026 Featuring the Spooky Symphony. The evening runs from 6 to 9 PM and is free for all ages, with activities spread across the Main Stage, Black Box Theater, Lab Theater, Back Lawn, and Classroom.

The centerpiece is the Spooky Symphony — a supersized, side-by-side performance combining the Alhambra Orchestra and the Greater Miami Youth Symphony. Two 45-minute kid-friendly shows take the Main Stage at 7 PM and 8:30 PM. The program features seasonal arrangements and music from beloved film and video game franchises: Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Men in Black, Pokémon GO, Beetlejuice, and Pirates of the Caribbean, accompanied by vivid imagery on a giant screen. The event is sponsored by The Children's Trust in partnership with the Moss Center.

In the Black Box Theater, Miami Children's Museum hosts a Halloween Dance Party with interactive activities throughout the evening: Learn a Dance! sessions at 6–6:30 PM and 8–8:30 PM; a Children's Costume Parade from 6:30 to 7:30 PM; and DJ Dance Parties from 7:30 to 8 PM and 8:30 to 9 PM. The Lab Theater features dance performances by Mater Bay Academy's Rayettes (6:15 and 6:45 PM), Adrenaline Dance Company (7:15 and 7:45 PM), and South Dade Senior High's Sapphires Dance Team (8:15 and 8:45 PM).

On the Back Lawn, families can enjoy an outdoor screening of Monsters, Inc. from 7:15 to 8:45 PM — bring lawn chairs and blankets. Halloween coloring activities run in the Classroom from 6 to 9 PM. Candy giveaways occur throughout the event while supplies last.

All admission is general, first-come, first-served. Free tickets become available on October 9 at MossCenter.org, at the Moss Center Box Office in person, or by calling (786) 573-5300. The Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center is located at 10950 SW 211th St, Cutler Bay, FL 33189.
