The UIM E1 World Championship — the world's first all-electric raceboat championship — returns to Miami for its second year and season finale on November 13–14, bringing its most important race weekend to Biscayne Bay at the Miami Seaplane Base.

Think F1 on water. Sleek hydrofoiling RaceBird boats lift out of the water on foils at speed, reducing drag and enabling the kind of performance that makes the racing genuinely spectacular to watch from the shore. Each team fields both a male and female pilot — one of the few major motorsports championships with mandatory gender parity at the competitive level.

The Celebrity Ownership Roster

The E1 ownership group reads like a guest list for the most interesting dinner party in sports. Tom Brady and Nico Rosberg co-own Rosberg X Racing. LeBron James owns Maverick Racing. Will Smith, Steve Aoki, Rafael Nadal, Marc Anthony, and Didier Drogba round out an ownership group that spans sports, music, and entertainment across three continents.

The celebrity ownership model has been central to E1's rapid growth. The championship launched its inaugural season in 2023 and has expanded quickly, with Miami establishing itself as one of the marquee venues on the calendar.

The Miami Weekend

This year's first-ever double-header race weekend means two full days of racing on Biscayne Bay. The racing is visible to the public from the waterfront — no tickets required to watch from the bay. The Miami Seaplane Base location provides natural spectator vantage points along the water.

The Ocean Club offers the premium hospitality option: waterfront race viewing paired with premium hospitality and the championship's official cocktail, the Sparkling Lemon (Bombay Sapphire, sparkling lemonade, fresh lemon twist). Media tickets may be available — contact the E1 press team for availability.

Bombay Sapphire, the championship's official gin and cocktail sponsor, is bringing the Sparkling Lemon to menus at iconic bars across Miami for the race weekend. Ask for it at your next stop. Loews Miami Beach Hotel has a RaceBird installation in the lobby through the weekend — worth a visit for a close-up look at the boat.

The racing is visible to the public on Biscayne Bay. No tickets required to watch from the waterfront.
