Tonight. Free. ZeyZey's outdoor Zaku Stage in Little Haiti. That's the whole pitch — but the artist behind it makes it worth knowing more.
Cain Culto is a Colombian-Nicaraguan artist raised between Florida and Kentucky, which means he absorbed salsa, bluegrass, and evangelical music before he could articulate why any of it mattered. He spent years as a worship pastor and frontman of the Christian band Ecclesia before leaving in 2021 and reemerging under his current name — a deliberate break, a new frame. What came out the other side is genuinely hard to categorize: left-field pop, hip-hop, Latin folk, bluegrass, and dark club music, all running through a lens that examines spirituality, sexuality, cultural identity, politics, and capitalism through protest, satire, and pop.
The tour follows occulto 002, an EP that offers an early glimpse of his forthcoming debut album, CULTO. He self-directs his visuals. The work is dense and specific in the way that only comes from someone who has actually lived inside the contradictions he's writing about.
A former worship pastor examining spirituality and capitalism through protest-pop, playing a free show at an open-air venue in Little Haiti the night III Points week begins. Miami does this sometimes.
ZeyZey Miami is at 353 NE 61st St — open-air, Zaku Stage, seasonal cocktails, natural wines, nonalcoholic options, and grass-fed seed-oil-free tacos from Tacos María on site. Doors at 8 PM. No ticket, no cover.
