For Miami Art Week 2022, Shelborne South Beach welcomes contemporary Korean artistRosanna Kalis for a special activation in the hotel’s Oasis Garden, currently the location of the 2 Korean Girls pop-up restaurant. The semipermanent and temporary art installations will transform the space with new murals, Korean folding screens, digital screens showcasing art and K-pop music videos, and a custom sneaker installation sponsored by HiteJinro.
A special invite-only event will take place Friday, December 2, from 5-7 p.m. to unveil the installations.
During the event, Kalis will be live painting a large-scale piece with a digital projection adding color and movement.
There will also be performances by IPhlow, a Miami-based breakdance crew, and Jun-ILL, a Korean DJ based in Miami and New York.
