Luxury French Swimwear Brand Launches the First U.S. Outpost of Its
Popular Hospitality Concept in Miami Beach
Luxury swimwear brand Vilebrequin and acclaimed hospitality group 34th Floor, Schulte F&B Group announce the U.S. debut of Vilebrequin La Plage, a Riviera-inspired restaurant and poolside destination opening May 23, 2026 atop the UNFRAMED, Autograph Collection by Marriott Hotel in Miami Beach. The mixed-use property at 1685 Washington Ave. is owned and developed by Miami-based Finvarb Group and Luxembourg-based JAJ Investment Group. Following success in Cannes, Crete, Doha and Oman, Vilebrequin La Plage’s Miami opening marks the concept’s fifth global destination, bringing the spirit of the Côte d’Azur to South Beach through coastal cuisine, aperitif culture, design and fashion.
“La Plage is an extension of the Vilebrequin lifestyle,” said French-born Vilebrequin La Plage General Manager Emmanuel Bergesio, who brings more than 15 years of hospitality management experience to the role. “We’re thrilled to bring the atmosphere and art de vivre of the Riviera—relaxed, joyful and centered around the pleasures of the sea, good food and time spent together. Miami felt like a natural place for the concept to land.”
The 18,000-square-foot venue on the hotel’s eighth-floor rooftop was designed by Paris-based creative Vincent Darré, whose imaginative interiors reinterpret the Riviera through sculptural furnishings, expressive color and playful details inspired by Vilebrequin’s iconic patterns and seaside heritage. The approximately 175-seat restaurant spans elegantly appointed indoor and outdoor spaces with breathtaking panoramic views, including an indoor dining room, bar and lounge, exterior rooftop terrace and pool. The space will also feature a retail outpost for guests to peruse a select offering of Vilebrequin swim and resort-wear alongside exclusive Vilebrequin La Plage giftable items. Designed as a serene oasis for sun-drenched sips by the pool, golden hour aperitifs and enchanting dinners under the stars, Vilebrequin La Plage offers an unparalleled setting for those looking to indulge in luxury, relaxation and the effortless charm of French coastal living.
Guiding the culinary program is Executive Chef Gregory Gourreau, a native of France with more than three decades of culinary expertise. His menu reflects the flavors of Southern France, while honoring Miami’s tropical cuisine through seasonal ingredients sourced locally and sustainably. Morning offerings range from breads, pastries and sweet delicacies like the Pain Perdu, a caramelized apple French Toast with raspberries, to savory dishes like the Steak a Cheval with fried eggs, potatoes and chimichurri and Vilebrequin La Plage Breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and fruit.
Dinner shifts towards reimagined Riviera classics and seafood-driven plates, from Poulpe Grille Provencal with roasted fingerling potatoes and Pissaladière with carmelized onion, Niçoise olives and anchovies to a Steak Tartare with a mustard emulsion, sundried tomatoes, olives, radish, scallions, pickled apples and chives. Balanced pastas such as the spinach Linguini Vertes with goat cheese and tomato confit accompany mains like the 14-ounce Wagyu Steak Frites au Poivre, whole Grilled Lobster with sea urchin butter, and Lamb Rack with haricots verts and panisse. A dedicated raw bar rounds out the menu with Seafood Towers, Crudo, Oysters, Clams and Caviar Service. For dessert, the menu turns to classic French sweets, including the indulgent Chocolate Lava Cake with bitter almond cream, Chilled Cantaloupe Soup with yogurt sorbet and a basil tuile and a selection of seasonal house made ice creams and sorbets.
To pair, the cocktail menu captures the breezy elegance of French aperitivo culture. Highlights include Hugo Spritz de Jardin, with St-Germain, fresh cucumber purée, Crémant de Limoux and elderflower-mint foam; La Belle Piquante, a nod to Miami with tequila, mango, Dijon mustard, fresh lime juice and habanero tincture; and Fleur de Cactus, with lavender-Infused vodka, aperitivo select, prickly pear, fresh lime juice, topped with prosecco. A selection of zero-proof options are available. Guests can also enjoy the full bar menu poolside, ideal for sipping from pink-striped lounge chairs or full-service daybeds. Those looking to imbibe during the restaurant’s l’apéro, or French happy hour, can enjoy a menu featuring select wines starting at $10, cocktails at $14 and bites starting at $9–from Oysters and Shrimp Cocktails to Petits Burgers.
Vilebrequin La Plage anchors the UNFRAMED rooftop experience, pairing its dining and poolside atmosphere with a design-forward stay in the heart of Miami Beach. Designed by French architect world-renowned Rudy Ricciotti, the 149-room property blends bold contemporary architecture with refined interiors and serves as a natural extension of the restaurant’s Riviera sensibility. Positioned within the city’s arts and culture corridor, the hotel places guests within easy reach of leading cultural destinations while offering a coastal retreat above it all.
Vilebrequin La Plage will be open daily for breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. and dinner from 5 to 11 p.m. The L’apero menu will also be available daily at the bar and lounge from 5 to 7 p.m. Reservations for Vilebrequin La Plage Miami will be available on May 23, 2026.
