The Eats Beats Cleats Gridiron Festival presented by Comcast kicks off on Thursday, Feb. 4 as Lincoln Road – in the heart of South Beach – is transformed into a CELEBRATION OF SPORTS. Over 75 current and former NFL All Stars and other sports legends will be featured as the festival launches with exciting once in a lifetime fan experiences and VIP events. Festivities kick off Thursday Evening, Feb 4 with an exclusive VIP Player’s Party for all access passport holders at the Ritz Carlton South Beach. Celebrations continue on Lincoln Road throughout the weekend featuring several chances to mix and mingle with the NFL greats and a host of celebrities hosted to raise money for the Gridiron greats Assistance Fund. The four-day festival presented by Comcast and sponsored by Lincoln Mercury, LandShark Lager, AirTran Airways, Bacardi, Gallo Wines, Coca Cola, Cundy Insurance, Miami magazine and Lincoln Financial Radio is set to dominate Lincoln Road the entire weekend.

Certain Proceeds from all Festival Passports will go to The Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund (GGAF), a non-stock, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing financial grants and ‘pro bono’ medical assistance to retired NFL players in dire need. The organization focuses on the humanitarian side of post-football related issues, which include coordination of social services to retired players who are in need due to a variety of reasons including inadequate disability and/or pensions. The GGAF’s mission is to assist these dire need players who are pioneers of the game and have greatly contributed to the NFL’s status as the most popular sport in America. GGAF provides hands-on assistance to help retired players and their families deal with hardships they face after football. The services include medical assistance, financial assistance for utilities, medication, food, automotive payments and childcare.
