Live Arts Miami presents the world premiere of Urban Bush Women’s latest dance-theater work, Haint Bluin Miami featuring an immersive audience experience at the Historic Hampton House. The culmination of a multi-year project commissioned by Live Arts Miami, Haint Blu honors local Black history, recalling the movements, magic, and stories of the Brownsville community using performance as a center and source of healing. Urban Bush Women (UBW), founded in 1984 by choreographer Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, is a Brooklyn-based performance ensemble and dance company under the artistic direction of Chanon Judson and Mame Diarra (Samantha) Speis. |
