The New World School of Arts music division will present a Violin-Piano Duo Recital, exploring the music of Beethoven, Prokofiev and Isang Yun. Featuring NWSA Symphony Orchestra conductor, Dr. Hyunjee Chung on violin, and guest pianist, Dr. Kyunghoon Kim on piano, the uplifting repertoire includes Beethoven’s Violin Sonata No. 6 in A Major, Yun’s Gasa and Violin Sonara no. 2 in D. Major by Prokofiev. “Dr. Kim and I have been friends since our High School years. We played a couple concerts together this spring in different cities and I am pleased to have him here in Miami to present this wonderful program to our own community. I am especially excited to present a piece by this incredible Korean-born German composer Isang Yun. We will be talking about his unique musical language, color palette, and range of expressions during our concert,” explained Dr. Chung.
