Sexy Fish Miami's Negroni Week Cocktail Is a Tropical Riff on a Classic — And It Works
Sexy Fish Miami's Negroni Week entry — Our DNA — swaps gin for coconut-infused Havana Club, pineapple-infused Campari, and banana peel vermouth. It reads as a Negroni in silhouette while arriving somewhere considerably more Miami.
Part of our ongoing curation of what it means to live, love, and play in the Magic City.
This Weekend's Geography
1 neighborhoodSexy Fish Miami is joining the global Negroni Week celebration with a cocktail that takes the classic formula somewhere distinctly its own. Our DNA — priced at $18 — replaces the standard gin-Campari-vermouth structure with a tropical rum-based build: coconut-infused Havana Club, pineapple-infused Campari, and banana peel-infused sweet vermouth, finished with a red dehydrated edible pineapple slice and a coconut spray. The result reads as a Negroni in silhouette while arriving somewhere considerably more Miami.
The silhouette of a Negroni. The flavor of somewhere else entirely.
Negroni Week is a global event supporting Slow Food, an organization working to preserve food traditions and promote sustainable agriculture. Participating bars donate a portion of proceeds from their Negroni Week cocktails to the cause — which means the $18 Our DNA is doing double duty as both a well-made drink and a charitable contribution. The week runs October 13–18.
Sexy Fish opened in Miami in 2022, the second location after the original London flagship. The Brickell restaurant is known for its Japanese-inspired menu, its Damien Hirst fish sculptures, and a bar program that takes the cocktail list as seriously as the kitchen. Our DNA fits that ethos — it is not a novelty drink, it is a considered riff on a classic that happens to work.
