Kiki on the River has two Halloween events this October, and they are exactly what you would expect from a restaurant that turns a Greek island fantasy into a Miami River institution.
Paws & Pose Halloween: Dog Fashion Show & Costume Competition
On Saturday, October 24, from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM, Kiki hosts Paws & Pose Halloween — a dog fashion show and costume competition on the Miami River. The afternoon includes brunch, cocktails, music, vendors, a Halloween photo booth, a Mr. Beni Dog Art Gallery pop-up, and a Healthy Bud Treat Bar for the dogs. A celebrity judging panel will crown the day's best-dressed.
The prizes are not small. First place takes home a Kiki Yacht Experience. Second place receives a Habibi Chef's Tasting Experience valued at $1,000. Third place gets a day at Faena, also valued at $1,000. The $99 Paw-Ty Pass includes a welcome cocktail, a Pup Cup for your dog, a signature Kiki brunch dish, and entry into the competition. Twenty-five percent of proceeds go to charity.
Costumes are encouraged for owners as well as dogs. Tickets at tickettailor.com/events/kikiontheriver/2446204.
Halloween Pumpkin Carving Party
On Monday, October 26, Kiki celebrates National Pumpkin Day with a family pumpkin carving party from the afternoon into the evening. Pumpkins and all carving supplies are provided. Admission includes a set menu. Adults are $85; children 12 and under are $25. The event is limited to 30 guests — advance reservations are the move.
