1 neighborhoodPinecrest Gardens opens Miami Through the Lens: An Exhibition of Contemporary Photography on Saturday, October 17, bringing together South Florida photographers whose work captures the essence of Miami through its people, neighborhoods, landscapes, architecture and cultural traditions. The exhibition runs through Sunday, January 3, 2027, at the Banyan Bowl.
The show reveals a city shaped by constant transformation, rich cultural exchange and deeply personal narratives — a counterpoint to the aerial-view Miami that dominates most visual coverage of the city. A companion exhibition, Beyond the Studio: Public Art in Practice, spotlights South Florida artists from the Public Art Mentoring and Exhibition Program.
