Part of our ongoing curation of what it means to live, love, and play in the Magic City.
The Parker and Vann Thomson Plaza for the Arts is one of the best outdoor concert venues in Miami — and most people walk past it without knowing it exists. Live on the Plaza fixes that. Nine concerts, October through April, featuring local artists and national acts on the Arsht Center's outdoor stage. Doors open 90 minutes early. Most shows start at 7:30 PM. Buy two or more and save 15%.
Fall 2026
October 10 — The French Horn Collective. Led by singer-songwriter Vincent Raffard, this ensemble returns by popular demand with French-language jazz classics and originals laced with Latin rhythms. Their last Plaza appearance sold out. Register early.
October 24 — Yissy García Trio. Cuban drummer Yissy García transforms the kit into a dialogue between tradition and modernity — jazz, electronica, funk, R&B, and Afro-Cuban rhythms. Her Live on the Plaza debut.
October 30 — Lemon City Trio. Miami's own funky jazz-soul trio, named for the warehouse in present-day Little Haiti where they first rehearsed. Brian Robertson on organ, Nick Tannura on guitars, Aaron Glueckauf on drums. Edgy, modern, and energetic.
November 8 — Jean Caze Trio. Haitian-American trumpeter Jean Caze blends his heritage with American jazz into an Afro-Caribbean sound that draws comparisons to Hugh Masekela and Fela Kuti. He has shared the stage with Herbie Hancock, Aretha Franklin, and Arturo Sandoval.
Winter–Spring 2027
January 3 — Smooth Jazz Syndicate. A rotating cast of accomplished musicians and vocalists performing original works and smooth, jazz-driven interpretations of well-known pop and R&B songs.
January 23 — Javier García. Gold-selling in three countries, Garcia has toured Europe and the Americas, penned hits for Ricky Martin and Paulina Rubio, and shared stages with Nelly Furtado and CeeLo Green. His Plaza debut features original music and pop hits.
February 19 — Tony & the Kings. A seven-piece Latin funk and soul group celebrating Miami's multicultural spirit. Fronted by Tony Rivera, the band weaves Puerto Rican, Cuban, and African influences — boogaloo, Latin soul, son, and Afro-funk — into high-octane performances.
February 26 — Son Gitano. For a second year in a row, Son Gitano brings the soul of Spain and Latin America to the Plaza — a rich fusion of salsa, bolero, and flamenco.
April 10 — Fat Produce. A soul-jazz duo with a rotating bass player featuring guitarist Addison Rifkind and drummer Michael Duffy. Deep cuts from the hip-hop, soul, and jazz crates. Funky, groove-focused, and rooted in the past.
