Halloween Rescue Mission Accomplished

Pet Partners Rescue Home decided to embark on a Halloween Rescue Mission last Monday with the goal of rescuing EVERY single cat from Miami-Dade Animal Services by Halloween Day. To date more than 60 have been saved from euthanization thanks to the generous donations from supporters of the organization.

The campaign was promoted through Facebook and more than $800 was raised to save the animals. The donations covered the $35 fee for every two cats. Pet Partners Rescue Home will be fostering the animals, along with numerous other rescue partners in South Florida, until permanent homes are found for each one.

“Cats have always been used as a symbol for Halloween and now we were able to give back to them by this special holiday. This is our way of helping these poor animals that get killed at the shelter every day,” stated Bernie Alfonso, Owner of Pet Partners Rescue Home.

The rescue home has been fortunate enough to receive food donations to assist with the fostering of these animals through an ongoing pet food drive and the support of organizations like Gulliver Academy.
