DOLPHINS TO SALUTE AMERICA’S MILITARY AND VETERANS AT DOLPHINS-TITANS GAME ON NOVEMBER 14 FOR VETERAN’S DAY CELEBRATION

Miami DolphinsThe Miami Dolphins will recognize the many contributions of our service men and women from the armed forces, Sunday, November 14 at the team’s game against the Tennessee Titans, presented by Best Buy. Game time for this special Veteran’s Day Celebration is set for 1:00 p.m. at Sun Life Stadium. In conjunction with the game, the Dolphins have provided a special ticket package in which fans can purchase two lower level seats for $220 and one additional lower level ticket (a $110 value) will be donated to a local veteran.  Additionally, working with the US Department of Veterans Affairs, a special group ticket program has been created offering South Florida veterans a package that includes a game ticket and meal voucher for $20 per ticket.

Special events surrounding the Dolphins-Titans game will include:

  • A customized version of  a reading of the Preamble to the United States Constitution by Miami Dolphins CEO Mike Dee, Head Coach Tony Sparano and Miami Dolphins players which will be shown during pregame ceremonies and at different parts throughout the game.
  • The Miami Dolphins and Cell Phones for Soldiers will host a cell phone collection at the Grand Plaza pregame from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Fans can donate cell phones and cell phone batteries in any condition to send to active duties soldiers.  Prepaid envelopes for fans will also be provided to take home to mail cell phones in at a later date. The first 200 Finatics to donate a used cell phone at Gate G Grand Plaza will receive a $5 Publix gift card courtesy of Publix.
  • Fans can also help Turn Bottles to Jobs for post-9/11 U.S. veterans with disabilities by recycling their cans and bottles through PepsiCo’s Dream Machines.  Fans can recycle their plastic bottles and aluminum cans at any of the five new Dream Machines installed at Sun Life Stadium and earn points for personal rewards redeemable at Greenopolis.com. In addition, for all the recycled items, PepsiCo will make a donation to the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV). The EBV provides job training and education to post-9/11 U.S. veterans with disabilities.
  • A flyover led by the 50th Flying Training Squadron “World Famous Strikin’ Snakes” from the Columbus Air Force Base, MS.
  • Musical performances at the game will include patriotic tailgate performances by the Parris Island Marine Corps Band and Ilo Ferreira at the Land Shark Tailgate Stage.
  • At halftime, 200 military representing all branches will be on the field for a special ceremony, which includes the Parris Island Marine Corps Band, The Dolphins Voices and the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders
  • At pregame, 100 naval men and women from the USS Jason Dunham will be on the field, which will also feature a USA shaped flag and the National Anthem sung by the Dolphins Voices.
  • An Operation Tribute to Freedom honor on the field during the 2nd quarter, where the Dolphins will honor two local soldiers who have recently returned from deployment along with their families.
  • Video messages from military personnel deployed overseas.
  • An Army Strength and Action Tour Display on the AT&T Grand Plaza. This interactive display includes a Strength of Body element with fitness challenges, a Strength to Lead element with decision making challenges, and a Strength to Soar element with aviation simulators.
