“Bubba’s Army” Marching to Miami for Ford Championship Weekend

Homestead-Miami Speedway has partnered with renowned radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge® to create the “Bubba’s Army Miami Championship Weekend” package—an exclusive meet- and-greet opportunity on Saturday, Nov. 20, in the midst of NASCAR’s series-crowning Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway. In addition, Bubba will broadcast his radio program live from the Homestead-Miami Speedway infield the morning of Friday, Nov. 19.

An avid motorsports enthusiast and supporter of NASCAR, Bubba hosts the Bubba the Love Sponge® Show, broadcast nationwide on terrestrial radio (including Miami’s WHDR 93 Rock) and SiriusXM.

Homestead-Miami Speedway has created two “Bubba’s Army Miami Championship Weekend” packages ($85 or $125) to accommodate his legions of fans, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Bubba’s preferred charity, the Victory Junction Gang Camp. Built in tribute to former NASCAR driver Adam Petty, Victory Junction provides life-changing experiences for kids with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses. The “Bubba’s Army Miami Championship Weekend” package—available by calling (866) 409-RACE or by visiting HomesteadMiamiSpeedway.com/Bubba—is on sale now and includes:

? A 2-day ticket for the Nationwide (Nov. 19) and Sprint Cup (Nov. 20) Championship finales in Turn 4/Rows 1-4 ($85) OR a 2-day ticket for the same in Turn 4/Rows 11-21 ($125);

? Private Q&A session with Bubba in Homestead-Miami’s Chalet Village on Saturday, Nov. 20;

? $25 donation to Bubba’s preferred charity, the Victory Junction Gang Camp

“For all the years I’ve spent running around NASCAR tracks with my love for the sport, I’ve never had the opportunity to broadcast live from a speedway,” said Bubba. “So to make my NASCAR on-air debut in Miami, see NASCAR’s 2010 Champions crowned and we’re raising money for Victory Junction Gang Camp is really my kind of deal. NASCAR fans and the Bubba Army in Miami? I may never leave.”

“Bubba is a Florida neighbor who loves NASCAR and enjoys an amazingly loyal fan base,” said Matt Becherer, president of Homestead-Miami Speedway. “We welcome Bubba and his Army to South Florida for Ford Championship Weekend to see the 2010 NASCAR Champions crowned while also raising some money for Victory Junction Gang Camp through a very unique meet-and-greet opportunity with Bubba.”

Simulcast to 10 million listeners with satellite radio’s second-largest audience (Howard Stern), Bubba has four Radio & Records DJ of the Year awards and six Billboard Rock Air Personality of the Year honors.
