In a surprise announcement US Antique Shows, a major producer of antique shows in North America, said today it will be giving away strands of authentic pearl necklaces at The Original Miami Beach Antique Show as part of its 50th Anniversary celebration on February 3-7th at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
The giveaway will begin on opening day of the 50th Anniversary celebration and will take place at the pearl promotion booth every hour on the hour. A total of 38 pearl necklaces are expected to be given away during the duration of the five day show. Another treat for the public includes an Appraisal Day on Saturday, February 5th where attendees may bring a single antique, art or jewelry item to the show for a free appraisal. Other celebrations include a champagne toast and ribbon cutting ceremony with Miami Beach city officials during the Opening Ceremony at 11am on February 3rd.

As the Original Miami Beach Antique show turns 50 in February 2011, it will be one of the longest running shows in South Florida. This show is considered one of the most prestigious antiques events in the country and has earned the reputation of being a virtual Mecca for serious and casual collectors. Over 800 world renown dealers from antique rich areas such as Paris, Vienna, Rome, Japan and many other regions will be bringing their collections which will showcase an incredible variety of antiques. Beautiful 18th, 19th and 20th century furniture, Asian art, fine prints, American and European 19th and early 20th century pieces and mid-century modernism; Also featured will be Russian Impressionist paintings; antique jewelry; textiles and rugs, sterling silver, porcelain; and objects d’art.
Show hours are from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. from February 3-6th and 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. Admission cost is only $15 to attend all five days of the show.
