Food & Drink
NAWA is opening this December at Atlantic Village in Hallandale Beach — a kosher Japanese izakaya from the restaurateur behind Otoro NYC and Otoro Miami, and one of the more interesting restaurant concepts to land in South Florida this year.
The intimate, bar-centered restaurant pairs sushi with a full kitchen that leans into dry-aged meats and Korean-style triple-fried chicken. The menu features chef's-choice nigiri and handrolls alongside that broader kitchen program — a combination that doesn't have a direct equivalent in the market.
Leading the beverage program is general manager and beverage director John Park, whose experience includes New York City's Michelin-recognized Mari and Kochi. The beer, wine and sake list will reflect that pedigree.
NAWA opens December 2026 at Atlantic Village, 601 N. Federal Highway, Suite 109, Hallandale Beach.
