Travel Rally Day – May 8, 2015

NTTW-2015-logoTravel Rally Day shines a spotlight on the economic and employment impact created in The Palm Beaches, Florida from spending by leisure and business travelers, as well as groups and meetings alike. Over 60,000 jobs in our local hospitality workforce – and $42 million in local bed tax collections – are generated by travel and tourism.

In celebration of the United States Travel Association (USTA) sanctioned Travel Rally Day, Discover The Palm Beaches will gather members of the hospitality industry to celebrate the $7 billion tourism impact on the local community.

Discover The Palm Beaches will be handing out the “Top 10 Things to Know about Tourism in The Palm Beaches,” which highlights key figures on how the tourism industry in Palm Beach County directly impacts the lives of its residents.

  • Mayor Shelley Vana, Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners

  • Jorge Pesquera, President and CEO of Discover The Palm Beaches
  • Nearly 100 industry supporters from across the county, dressed in red
