Red Koi Thai & Sushi Lounge is proud to announce the debut of its gourmet mobile food truck, The Red Koi, launching on Saturday, March 5, 2011. The Red Koi will officially roll out during Carnaval on the Mile on Saturday, March 5 from 10 am – midnight and March 6 from 10am – 8pm and will be located on the corner of Douglas Road and Miracle Mile each day.
The Red Koi will invade the South Florida food truck scene unlike any other truck in town, using only the freshest ingredients and serving up unique, creative Asian fare. The Red Koi menu offers a fusion of authentic Thai and Japanese flavors, with items like the signature Bangkok Shrimp Tacos, Shrimp Shumai, Pad Thai, several types of sushi boxes, and their refreshing Lychee Lemonade, all reasonably priced between $2.50 – 9.00. Food truck aficionados can also indulge in the sweet life with delicious desserts like Red Koi’s famous Wontonameras and Thai Donuts.
“Red Koi clients can’t get enough of our food and fun, so what better way to combine these two elements than by going mobile?“ explained Mitchel Gomila, partner at Red Koi Thai & Sushi Lounge. “Our team has worked hard to create a special experience with The Red Koi and we are proud that our customers can expect the same, superb quality food to be served in the food truck as they would find at our restaurant.”
The red 26-foot custom-built truck will be equipped with 2 plasma screens that will display the truck’s digital menu and promote new happenings at the restaurant. Other key features include an 18×9-foot, state-of-the-art kitchen, three open windows, one for ordering and one for food pick-up that will allow customers to avoid the hassles of long lines and wait time, as well as one window so customers can view the live sushi chef in action.
The truck will also be participating in the Carnaval Miami Calle 8 Festival on March 13, 2011. In addition to its ever-changing locations around town, The Red Koi will also be available for private events and catering. Truck schedule locations, menus and catering
