The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale will offer convenient parking for event-goers of the ever-popular Lauderdale Air Show, April 20-21, with proceeds benefitting two local non-profit organizations. Attendees will enjoy access to a combined 5,000 parking spaces available throughout the weekend, offering a short walk to Fort Lauderdale Beach for the show.
Local organizations benefiting from event parking include Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida and Heart Gallery of Broward. The goal is to raise at least $45,000, which will be divided between the two organizations.
“We are delighted to partner with the Lauderdale Air Show to provide an easy parking option for families to enjoy this spectacular event,” said Melissa Milroy, senior marketing manager of The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale. “This is also a great opportunity for us to celebrate the armed forces and help raise funds for charities, which make a positive impact in our community.”
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The Heart Gallery’s mission is to provide innovative programs that help to promote the adoption and enrichment of Broward’s foster children.
Parking passes are valid from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sat., April 20 and Sun., April 21. The cost is $20 per car, per day. A $15 daily parking pass can be purchased in advance at The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale’s Guest Services, located on the upper level near Dillard’s, as of April 11.
