Shake-A-Leg Miami
2620 South Bayshore Drive
Miami, FL 33133
Longer days mean more sunset paddling opportunities. We’ll paddle from Shake-A-Leg Miami in Coconut Grove on Biscayne Bay past Eco-Island where we can watch the sunset and the moon rise framing the city beautiful in all it’s splendor. Bring your camera (waterproof are best) the photos can be amazing. This is an ideal paddle for beginners and first timers as well as experienced paddlers. Conditions will determine the direction of the paddle. We may visit Viscaya from the water or head down the shore past downtown Coconut Grove and south towards Coral Gables.
To best enjoy a beautiful sunset paddle on Biscayne Bay.
- Make sue you bring your lights! The more lights, the better as it will be dark when we return, but you must have at least ONE! The lights also allow other boaters to see us on the water and thus not run us over, thereby ruining our evening!
- Bring something to drink and and eat. A change of dry clothes are a good idea too.
- Reservations are Require – RSVP please. Attendance is limited.
- Rentals: Rentals are available for those in need at the special rate of $30/single and $40/tandem kayaks; $35 for SUPs. You must book your boat in advance. Please call The Paddle House at 786.307.3816 or stop on by to reserve your boat and pick-up some lights. We’re at 2753 SW 27th Ave. on the corner of SW 27th Ave and 28th Lane, between Shell Lumber and US1. Rentals include the boat/board, life jacket and paddle. Please bring your own water resistant light.

The fine print:
By participating in any of our paddles you assume all risks and responsibilities for your personal health and safety and for your equipment; as well as the safety and equipment of your guests. It is important for everyone that each participant be prepared for the trip. Please use your discretion and best judgment when joining an outing. Be sure you are up to the paddle — physically, mentally and that your equipment is appropriate for the intended trip. All night paddles require lights; even for rentals or borrowed boats. PFD and whistles are required. Intermediate to Advanced Paddles are for those who have substantial experience, skill, and solid knowledge of boat handling and self-rescues. Kayaking has inherent risks. Often, we are the smallest boats on the water. We each individually assume these risks each time we go out on the water. With all that being said, we all look forward to yet another great day on the water.
REFUNDS: Events cancelled due to weather will be refunded or may be used for a future date. No-shows are non-refundable. Cancellations are accepted up to 2-hours before the event start time.
