Over 100 people came out to meet British shoe designer Sophia Webster on Thursday, November 14. Webster was at Saks previewing and signing her Spring 2014 Collection. Known for her playful and bright shoes, the designer debuted her first collection for SS2013 after working as design assistant to Nicholas Kirkwood. She is a graduate of the specialized MA footwear course at the Royal College of Art and the BA degree at the renowned Cordwainers College.
The night kicked off with a conversation between Webster and Silvia Karman Cubiñá, Bass Museum of Art Executive Director & Chief Curator about Sophia’s career and inspirations. After guests enjoyed music by DJ’s Ess & Emm and an evening of fabulous shoe shopping.
