Santa Monica, Calif. – August 11, 2022 – STARZ sets a November 6th premiere date for its new drama series “Dangerous Liaisons” and reveals a teaser and first look images of the beautifully reimagined take on the 18th century novel of the same name, it was announced today from its 2022 Summer Television Critics Association presentation. “Dangerous Liaisons” tells the classic, epic story of Merteuil and Valmont in a fresh way, showing how they began as young lovers in the slums of Paris and rose to the heights of French aristocracy through a series of schemes, manipulations and betrayals, eternally oscillating between love and war.
New episodes will be available weekly on Sundays at midnight on the STARZ app, all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms and internationally on the STARZPLAY premium streaming platform across its complete footprint in Europe, Latin America and Japan. On linear, it will debut on STARZ at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on November 6th in the U.S. and Canada. Subsequent episodes will air linearly on Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada, beginning November 13.
“Dangerous Liaisons” is a bold prelude of Laclos’ classic 18th century novel focusing on the origin story of how his iconic characters, the Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont, met as passionate young lovers in Paris on the eve of the revolution. This modern take on a classic story takes audiences through wonder and terror, beauty and degradation, seduction and deception in pre-revolutionary Paris. Driven to right the wrongs of their past, the young couple’s survival depends on their skills of seduction and manipulation of not only the French nobility but of each other. Alice Englert and Nicholas Denton portray the notorious lovers: Camille who is taken in by the current Marquise de Merteuil (played by Lesley Manville) navigates her own path in a world of men, using the power of secrets to take back control, and Valmont who will stop at nothing to regain his title that was recently taken from him. Their on-again off-again love story is the heart of the series. It’s not love… it’s war.
The first look images feature Englert, Denton and Manville in their respective roles, along with Kosar Ali, who plays Victoire, Camille’s best friend and partner in crime, and Carice Van Houten, (“Game of Thrones”) who plays Jacqueline de Montrachet, a pious noblewoman with a mysterious connection to Camille.
The series is produced for STARZ by Playground and Flame Ventures in association with Lionsgate Television. It was created and written by Harriet Warner, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer. In addition to Warner, Colin Callendar (Playground), Tony Krantz (Flame Ventures), Scott Huff, Bethan Jones, and Christopher Hampton also serve as executive producers. Barney Reisz serves as producer. In addition to Englert, Denton, Ali, Manville, and Van Houten, the series stars Hilton Pelser as Gabriel Carrè, Fisayo Akinade as Chevalier de Saint-Jacques, Michael McElhatton as Jean de Merteuil, Nathanael Saleh as Azolan, Colette Dalal Tchantcho as Ondine de Valmont, Hakeem Kae-Kazim as Majordome, and Tom Wlaschiha as Henri de Montrachet.

Santa Monica, Calif. – August 11, 2022 – STARZ orders a third season of its hit family crime drama series “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” ahead of the upcoming season two premiere on August 14, it was announced today during its 2022 Summer Television Critics Association presentation. Production will begin this summer in New York. Averaging nearly 9M viewers across platforms in its debut season, the show had one of the best performing first seasons in STARZ history.
Set in the early 1990’s, the third series in the “Power” Universe tells the origin story of fan favorite character, “Kanan Stark,” and his entry into the criminal world through his mother, who ruthlessly runs the family’s drug empire. It stars MeKai Curtis in the titular role of “Kanan” and Tony® Award winner Patina Miller (Into the Woods, “Madam Secretary”) as his mother, Raquel “Raq” Thomas.
As previously announced, season two premieres on August 14 with episodes available weekly on Sundays at midnight on the STARZ app, all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms and internationally on the STARZPLAY premium streaming platform across its complete footprint in Europe, Latin America and Japan. On linear, it will debut on STARZ at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada.

In addition to Miller and Curtis, the season two cast also includes Omar Epps (“House,” Love and Basketball), London Brown (“Ballers”), Malcolm Mays (“Them,” “Snowfall”), Joey Bada$$ (Two Distant Strangers), Hailey Kilgore (“Amazing Stories”), Shanley Caswell (The Conjuring) and Antonio Ortiz (“High Fidelity,” “The Sinner”).
Sascha Penn will return as showrunner and executive producer for season three of “Raising Kanan.” The “Power” Universe series are executive produced by creator and showrunner of the original “Power,” which inspired the full universe- Courtney A. Kemp- through her production company End of Episode, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson through G-Unit Film and Television, and Mark Canton through Atmosphere Entertainment MM. Chris Selak, Kevin Fox, Santa Sierra and Natasha Gray also serve as executive producers for season three. Lionsgate Television produces the series for STARZ.

“The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast” premieres Sunday, October 23 at midnight on the STARZ app, all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms, and internationally on the STARZPLAY premium streaming platform across its footprint in Europe and Latin America. On linear, it will debut on STARZ at 10:00 PM ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada.
“The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast” is a limited event, half-hour episodic documentary series about the infamous Black Mafia Family, as told by former members, insiders, associates, and celebrity figures close to the family. From Detroit corner boys, to notorious drug kingpins, and hip hop kingmakers, the eight-part docuseries will chart the meteoric rise and fall of BMF founders: Demetrius “Big Meech” and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, two brothers who built one of the largest cocaine empires in American history. The fabled story spans four decades across five major U.S. cities, immersing viewers in a network of crisscrossing relationships between crime, hip hop, and law enforcement. The series affords viewers exclusive access inside all the epic family feuds, high stakes drug deals, suspicious murders, and champagne drenched parties attended by hip-hop royalty.
The docuseries features exclusive access to the Flenory Brothers and former BMF members, while journalists and consultants close to the key players provide the production authenticity, historical, and cultural context. Additionally, the series will feature exclusive interviews, never-before-seen archival footage, original vérité footage, celebrity interviews, and original impressionistic imagery inspired by first-hand accounts.
The eight-episode series is executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (“BMF,” “Power” Universe) and Shan Nicholson (“Jerusalem: City of Faith and Fury” and Rubble Kings) who will also serve as the series’ showrunner. The series will be directed by Nicholson and Chris Frierson (The King, Don’t Try to Understand: A Year in the Life of Earl ‘DMX’ Simmons). Additional executive producers include Richard Perello and Stacey Offman, co-executive producers Brad Hebert and Isaac Bolden, and senior producer Jessica Vale. The documentary series is produced for STARZ by Jigsaw Productions and G-Unit Film & Television.
