With financial literacy continuing to be a growing need for young women, BrightStar Credit Union has partnered with South Florida nonprofit Bank on Girls to launch a new Financial Empowerment Series, beginning with Credit Confidence, a free community workshop designed to help women build stronger financial futures.
Bank on Girls is a nonprofit founded by Florida native and Mrs. Florida International 2026 Michele Reese Granger, dedicated to empowering women through financial education, mentorship and community engagement.
The one-hour session will cover practical topics including how to build credit, improve credit scores, repair credit, and better understand the factors that influence financial health. Whether participants are starting from scratch or looking to strengthen their financial foundation, they’ll leave with actionable tools and greater confidence to take control of their credit journey.
Credit Confidence will take place on Wednesday, August 26, from 6-7 p.m. at BrightStar Credit Union, 3400 N. University Drive, Hollywood, FL. The event is free and open to the community, with advance registration encouraged.
