MiMo ART Boulevard Festival

Join the MiMo historic district as it celebrates its inaugural ART Boulevard Festival featuring local artists, chefs and musical talent, presented by the MiMo Biscayne Association.

November 28, 2010

MiMo ART Boulevard is a kickoff to Miami Arts week celebrating the MiMo District’s Artists, Restaurants and Talent. Take a walking tour of the iconic landmarks on Biscayne Boulevard, including the famous LED sign of the Coppertone Girl. Interact with artists stationed along the boulevard as they create their art. Get your paintbrushes ready to help create a “neighborhood mural” with community artist Markus Tracy. The mural is being sponsored by Miami-Dade County Commissioner Audrey Edmonson who will be joined by City of Miami Commissioner Marc Sarnoff by taking the first brushstroke. Listen to a wide range of exceptional musical talent on the 74th Street stage including talent such as Nicole Chirino, Local 34, ARAKA, Pamela Rose, Almost Blue Band and Urban Rebel. Precision Art will present Urbayne Biscayne, a celebration in conjunction with MiMo Art Boulevard taking place across Biscayne Boulevard from MiMo’s main festival grounds. Enjoy culinary bliss when sampling cuisine from local restaurants such as Kris Wessel’s Red Light, Michelle Bernstein’s Michy’s, Michael Bloise’s American Noodle Bar, Jacques Ardisson’s Moonchine and sushi master Toshi Furithata’s Moshi Moshi. Kids can enjoy hands-on art classes and face painting at Loud Girl Exchange and your friendly pets can mingle and sample gourmet doggie treats at pet-friendly retailer Smiling Pets. The event will be topped off by a holiday tree lighting ceremony concluding the event at The New Yorker Boutique Hotel.
