What is the inspiration for Mara Hoffman’s collection?
Mara Hoffman: My collections are inspired by my travels and my everyday life. I love pulling ideas from other cultures, and I’m always noticing confidently dressed women in the streets.
Who is your target market?
Mara Hoffman: I design for women who want to have the feeling of unique garments. They are confident women looking to dress for their personality.
Tell us about your partnership with Skintimates?
Mara Hoffman: Skintimates gave me the amazing opportunity to design a line for their shave gel cans. We also ran a contest to find an intern for the summer. I loved being able to give a fun opportunity to someone that has the same dreams as myself.
You were recently a part of Miami’s Mercedes Benz Swim week. Tell us about your swim suit collection?
Mara Hoffman: My Resort Swim 2012 collection was inspired by tribal prints and Egyptian travels.

What is your all time must have?
Mara Hoffman: My laptop.
What is your advice in choosing a swimsuit?
Mara Hoffman: Pick a suit that will be noticed for it’s uniqueness.
