Formula 1® Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix to Surprise F1 in School Students with Tickets to First-Ever Event at Hard Rock Stadium

DETAILS:

South Florida Motorsports (SFM), the organizers of the Formula 1® Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix and the City of Miami Gardens will surprise students that are part of the F1 in Schools program to the inaugural event on May 6-8, 2022, at Hard Rock Stadium.

 

Willy T Ribbs, will be on hand to present these children with the experience of a lifetime. Born in California, Willy T is a former race car driver who became the first African American to have tested a Formula 1 car. He is also the first to compete in the Indianapolis 500 as well as being one of the only African American NASCAR drivers. During his career, Willy T has risen from adversity and become an icon and trailblazer of motorsport in the US. He has become a Diversity and Inclusion representative for Formula 1, inspiring students to seek careers in motorsport by championing pathways into engineering and underlining the importance of STEM subjects in schools.

 

In addition, the program instructors will receive tickets to Maluma at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood on May 5. Administered through the Miami Gardens Parks and Recreation Department and Seeking Education Empowers Knowledge (S.E.E.K), the program’s goal is to motivate, engage and inspire students.Participants will also receive meals from Formula 1® Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix restaurant partner and Miami Gardens based business Lovely’s On The Go.

 

Created in 2000, F1 in Schools is dedicated to introducing students to design, engineering, project management, branding, marketing, and teamwork using the excitement and appeal of Formula 1®. F1 in Schools is one of the largest global educational programs that raise awareness of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) among students and school children.

 

NOTE:                 The ticket giveaways will be a surprise for instructors and students.
