Elvis Crespo the “King of Merengue” Comes to Seminole Casino Coconut Creek on May 4

Grammy Award winner and multiplatinum artist Elvis Crespo will perform for one night at The Pavilion at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. Tickets are on sale, now.

 

Elvis Crespo’s newest hits such as “Pegadito Suavecito” and “Yo No Soy Un Monstruo,” along with his smash hits “Suavemente,” “Pintame,” and many more, will be part of his first concert in Miami in more than two years.

With his mastery of the Dominican Republic’s merengue tradition, New York-born and Puerto-Rican raised vocalist Crespo wasted no time in reaching the apex of contemporary Latin music. His debut album, Suavemente, reached the top slot on Billboard’s National Hot Latin Top 40 in 1998 and spawned two record-breaking singles –“Tu Sonrisa” and the title track. He received Billboard Awards for Album of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Group or Duet of the Year and Song of the Year.

 

In 1999, he released his sophomore album, Pintame, which earned him a Grammy and countless Premios Lo Nuestro. His fifth album, Saborealo, released in 2004, spawned the hit single “Hola Enamorada,” which debuted at the top of the Billboard Latin charts and earned him a Latin Grammy. In 2008, he became the first Latin artist to record a live album from Las Vegas, Elvis Crespo Live From Las Vegas. It reached No. 5 on the Latin Tropical Albums. His most recent album, 2012’s Los Monsters peaked the Latin Tropical Charts at No. 3. It produced No. 1 singles including “Yo No Soy Un Monstruo” and “Vallenato En Karaoke.”
