“DO YOU BELIEVE IN LOVE TRIBUTE TO CHER” AT LIPS TO BENEFIT POVERELLO ON THURSDAY, MAY 16

Franchesque Richards will impersonate CherIn honor of the one and only Cher, Lips will pay homage to the icon with its “Do You Believe In Love Tribute to Cher” to benefit Poverello on Thursday, May 16 at 7 p.m. This exclusive dinner and show will take fans back in time when the ladies of Lips perform the best of Cher from the 1960’s to the present as the launch to Poverello’s 23rd Annual Bowling to Fight Hunger.

Cher fans and Poverello supporters will experience an entirely exclusive show orchestrated with love and support for those living with HIV/AIDS. Favorite songs such as Way of Love, Bang Bang, Walking in Memphis, All I Really Want to Do, Gypsy, Tramps and Thieves, Take Me Home, I Found Someone, Half Breed, Dark Lady and more will bring back great memories and help to celebrate Cher’s upcoming birthday on May 20. The show, hosted by Nicolette, will include several of Lips world famous leading ladies, plus Cher look-a-like performances by Franchesque Richards and Alexis Couture.

 

“This is a great way for us to launch our annual bowling event, which raises much needed funds to allow us to provide food and basic living essentials for those living with HIV,” said Thomas Smith, executive director of Poverello. “Lips has been a great supporter of the bowling event so it is only fitting to have them help us kick-off our team and pledge drive to ensure the success of this popular community event.”

 

In addition to the Las Vegas style female impersonator show, guests will enjoy Lips oh so drag-a-licious menu with delicious salads, appetizers, entrees and desserts. To enhance the dining experience, Lips full bar will serve up frozen cosmos and other great specialty drinks. A $10 show cover charge, plus a $15 food minimum and additional beverage costs apply for this special show. All show cover charges and a portion of beverage sales will go directly to Poverello compliments of Lips.

Poverello’s 23rd Annual Bowing to Fight Hunger is set for Saturday, August 3 at the Sawgrass Lanes in Tamarac, Florida.
