Conrad Miami Hotel Installs New Energy-Efficient Sign as Part of Campaign of Capital Upgrades, Branding

Conrad Miami, the luxury Hilton Worldwide hotel in Miami’s Brickell business and financial district, today announced the installation of its new energy-efficient sign as part of a campaign of capital upgrades and refurbishment designed to raise the property’s profile and ensure the best-possible guest experience.  The installation will begin with an unveiling and ribbon-cutting ceremony drawing VIPs, local officials and media.  The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25, at the landmark building at 1395 Brickell Avenue, Miami, FL, 33131.  The event, which begins at the ground-level concierge reception area, will include a champagne toast and the hanging of the first letter, “C,” outside the hotel, followed by a tour of the hotel led by Conrad executives to showcase the property’s features.

“Conrad Miami has been an open secret among elite business travelers and international guests who appreciate our kind of smart luxury,” said Martin Wormull, general manager. “However, because our original design plans did not include prominent street-level signage, local residents would walk or drive by and did not know we were here in the heart of Brickell.  As of January 25, that will change forever.”

The letters are each six feet tall, weigh approximately 250 pounds, and will be installed individually during the course of five to seven days by a crew of four workers using a swing stage (a suspended scaffold most commonly used to clean exteriors of tall buildings).  The entire sign, which will hang on the north side of the building 440 feet over Brickell Avenue on the 35th level, will comprise exactly 999 energy-efficient LEDs, in keeping with Conrad’s commitment to respecting the environment.

As part of the celebration, Conrad Miami will offer “Smart Luxury” specials, valid from January 25 to February 11 of this year, to provide guests and locals with the opportunity to sample and enjoy the hotel’s luxurious amenities.  These luxuries include $25 manicures/pedicures and $25 facials and massages at The Spa, a soothing retreat high above the excitement of Brickell Avenue.  Promotions also will include the hotel’s new “Chef’s Lunch Box”, a complete business lunch for $15.  This innovative take on the Japanese “Bento Box” concept consists of the chef’s pairing of samples of numerous menu items, including appetizers, entrees and dessert.

More than luxury or location, beyond bold design and stunning architecture, Conrad Miami is about unique guest experiences that redefine hospitality for business and leisure travelers alike in the heart of Miami’s business and financial district.  Its 203 rooms and 103 residence suites are known for providing the most discriminating traveler with superior comfort and high-tech facilities.  Conrad Miami’s philosophy of service and meticulous attention to detail permeate the property, from the extraordinary cuisine of Atrio Restaurant and personalized therapies of The Spa, to the modern conference facilities and rooftop pool area.  An ongoing, unobtrusive program of capital upgrades and refurbishment reflects Conrad Miami’s commitment to perfecting the guest experience.
