Two of the world’s premier fashion retailers, Burberry and Façonnable, open this summer at Aventura Mall, while one of the shopping center’s most successful brands, Diesel, debuts a new, expanded location.
Burberry, a luxury brand with a distinctive British sensibility, will open a 3,500-square-foot boutique on July 30. Since its founding in England in 1856, Burberry has been synonymous with quality – as defined by the endurance, classicism and functionality that characterized its history as the outfitter of choice for explorers who pioneered aviation and arctic exploration. Burberry today is leveraging the strength of its heritage by continually promoting design innovation, reinventing its icons to enhance their aspirational appeal, balancing its classic sensibility with modernity and infusing quality with style to make its core values relevant for now and future generations.
Located on the first level of Center Court, Burberry will offer men’s and women’s clothing, as well as accessories and shoes.
Featuring a full range of men’s and women’s tailored clothing, as well as accessories, the 3,000-square-foot Façonnable boutique boasts the brand’s newly devised retail concept – a French Riviera-inspired blueprint that features blue and beige accents, chevron-patterned unfinished white oak floors, and honey-colored oak paneling, paired with limestone and millwork that channels the spirit of 1930’s French decorator, Jean Michel Frank. Façonnable was founded in the 1950s by Jean Goldberg, immediately becoming one of the most celebrated internal menswear brands worldwide. Authenticity, instinct and talent, the values at the heart of Façonnable, continue to express the signature of “modern elegance.”
Façonnable opened July 16 on the first level near Nordstrom.
Diesel Aventura Mall will move August 19 to a new, expanded location on the first level next to its previous store. The design concept for the 6,148-square-foot space will increase mobility and flexibility so that customers have a truly unique experience.
The store’s interior will display modern aesthetics and a bright, fun atmosphere emulating the spirit of the Miami market. Energy efficient solar panels will be used throughout the store as well as polycarbonates and antique oak. The solar panel façade will draw power from the mall’s overhead natural lighting, illuminating the Diesel sign above the entrance. Accessories fixtures will also have solar panels that draw power from the store’s overhead lighting which illuminates LED lights that spotlight the merchandise inside. Not only innovative in design, the system conserves energy to reduce the day to day energy consumption of the store.
South Florida’s #1 shopping destination among international visitors, Aventura Mall was voted Best Local Shopping Destination by Miami Herald’s “Hot List” and ranks as one of the top five highest grossing malls in the country in sales per square foot. The 2.7 million square-foot multi-level mall is home to Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Macy’s Men’s Home Furniture, JCPenney and Sears, more than 300 stores and restaurants, a 24-screen movie theater, and an artist-designed interactive playground, Rainbow Valley.
