Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade announced today that CarMax, Inc., (NYSE: KMX), the nation’s largest retailer of used cars, as part of its CarMax Cares Month will have teams of volunteers participate in a fun-filled day with the children of the Hank Kline Club located at 2805 SW 32nd Ave, Miami, FL 33133 and Northwest Club located at 10915 NW 14 Ave, Miami, FL. 33167 on Wednesday, June 30 from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m. Volunteer Associates will dedicate their time and energy to interact in a series of activities throughout the day with the children.  The program will offer water slides, dunk tanks and food for the Club members.

“We are extremely honored that CarMax chose the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade to participate in its Volunteer Team-Builder Program,” said Alex Rodriguez-Roig, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade.

The CarMax Foundation’s standard Volunteer Team-Builder Program grants $500 to participating non-profit organizations. The Foundation is doubling grants to the non-profits for associate volunteer team-builders to $1,000 in June on behalf of the hardworking teams supporting their local communities.

“CarMax teams are passionate about having a positive impact on their communities,” said Dodie Fix, president of The CarMax Foundation and assistant vice president of procurement.  “Volunteers get to know each other outside of a work environment while making a lasting impression on local non-profit organizations.”
