Cooking Buddies Class

Parents can take a specialized cooking class with the junior chef in their life. Armed with recipes and ingredients, you will work together as a team to create your own culinary masterpieces. Class is priced at $85 for one parent and child, $40 for additional child.

Culinary Boot Camps

The culinary boot camps are taught by Lourdes Castro, an instructor at New York University’s prestigious Food Studies department. The boot camps provide intensive instruction focused on culinary technique.  The Fundamentals camp is geared towards those looking to learn or refresh solid cooking fundamentals, while the Entertaining camp instructs the avid host or hostess on proper menu planning and efficient execution of various party styles (hors d’oeuvres, buffet, sit-down meals). The 3-day program is priced at $450. An all-inclusive package that includes night accommodations, three daily meals with beverages, tax and gratuities is priced at $1,740.

Signature Cooking Classes

Classes are fully participatory where students are actively involved in every aspect of food preparation. Class concludes a meal comprised of the recipes created by the students. Class is 3-hours and is priced at $110 per person.

Culinaria: An Introduction to the American Kitchen

Culinaria has been developed for those new to the United States and its food markets. Taught fully in Spanish, this course explores ingredients from herbs and spices to cuts of meats and the bounty of vegetables. Students will get familiarized with the English names of these ingredients while learning new techniques and recipes coming from a wide range of cuisines such as French, Asian, and Italian. The course is divided into 4 sessions: Knife Skills & Soups, Fish Entrees, Poultry Entrees and Meat Entrees. Classes meet once a week on Tuesdays for four weeks and is priced at $399 per student.
